GROUP CLASSES

PRIVATE INSTRUCTION

Learn in your own kitchen

Whether you are a professional chef or a recreational cook who wants to learn individually, I offer private instruction. I will spend three to four hours in your kitchen with you for each lesson. We will assess your skills, your knowledge and what areas you want to enhance.

From your needs, we will individually tailor your lesson. Then we'll create an entire meal to be enjoyed at your own table.

Many people call me for special occasions, to brush up on techniques, or to train household staff.

TEAM BUILDING

Incentive and reward classes

Cooking together teaches both strangers and co-workers how to share responsibilities. Afterwards, as a bonus, they get to eat a meal they've prepared together, and let their hair down. View Sample Menu

Many employers are taking advantage of my services to offer valuable bonding experiences to their employees. As amateurs in the kitchen, co-workers find ways to strategize and cooperate when they're preparing a meal. The lesson of shared goals carry over into the workplace.

Conference rooms are often a good place for these classes or rentable, off-site, well-equipped kitchens can work perfectly.

Team cooking works well for bridal parties, engaged couples and newlyweds, and other special interest groups.

LECTURES & DEMONSTRATIONS

Unique group entertainment with personal flair

As a columnist, readers often send me questions that I can't answer directly. But when I'm doing a cooking demonstration or lecture, I weave those questions into my presentations. The questions make it easy for me to bring humor into the kitchen.

Tips, for instance, are clearer when I can show the application rather than tell it in writing. As a producer of my own radio program, I've learned that people love stories. That's why I try to make my lectures and demonstrations relaxed and homey by telling my own personal experiences. I am passionate about my food and hope to touch that passion in you.

So, if you have an event scheduled that requires a speaker, and the audience is interested in health, food, wine or simply entertainment, I can set up a tailor-made program for you.
